AYSO is a pure volunteer organization! Without our volunteers we would not have a program for our kids to play recreational soccer!
Our coaches, refs and staff donate numerous hours to insure our kids play in a Fun, Safe & Positive environment!

Award Program

To make our volunteer program exciting & rewarding, everyone who volunteers To:
“Help Paint Our Fields”, “Set Up / Tear Down Fields” and / or “Work In Our Referee Tent”
will receive one recognition credit for each time you Volunteer.

You must officially register with the volunteer coordinator
via our web site “Volunteer Sign Up Form”.
You will “Make It Happen” for our Kids and help make
Chino Hills AYSO a successful program which will benefit all of our kids.

Tommy Quinonez	Tommy at this point is the only parent on my BU-10 team that is earning points for the team. That means that he is trying to ref more than one game per Saturday. He has not once complained and his willingness to take up his entire Saturday as a ref is greatly appreciated.
Denise Moret	Denise is the team parent for two teams. She handles all the administrative aspects of the team which allows me to concentrate on coaching. She calls parents when needed, arranges team parties and makes sure the parents have all the pertinent information they concerning practice and games.
Matthew Tighe:	Matt assists me with practice with the BU6 Team and in addition he referees every game. Even though Matt does not know a lot about soccer he has done all he can to familiarize himself with the rules and he does an excellent job.
Ken Anderson	Unselfish use of his time for the betterment of our kids and our community– Always enthusiastic – always positive – TREMENDOUS contribution to AYSO – He completely embodies the AYSO philosophy. I feel lucky to have trained under him to be an A.R. Wish we could clone Ken – the world is a better place because of him!
Art Estrada	I have been highly impressed by him and his commitment to the soccer program. First, I was stunned to hear that he was coaching a second team (G- U10)– “just because” the organization needed coaches – Additionally, he recruited his daughter and other girls from the U14 team to assist with the ten year olds – so he has even more kids to supervise – plus he is fostering the whole notion of volunteerism with the girls on our team. If that weren’t enough, he also referees – and has been mentoring both his daughter and my daughter in their “journey” as referees! He really gives back to the organization.
Jorge Lugo	He coaches, refs, very positive, great attitude and always willing to help with others practices as well.
Tyler Henry	He signed up for the ref. clinic this year and started to ref. games to help his own team get their points. He loves to ref. and is very diligent about signing up for games on Saturday
Gigi Meehan	Gigi Coaches Girl U10. After her game, Gigi volunteered her time to close Townsend Jr. High when no one else was available. Instead of walking away from the fields, she took it upon herself to see that everything was put away.
Dave Black	You can see Dave on the fields reffing and mentoring the youth of our community. Dave has stepped up numerous times to Coordinate refs to insure that our kids have refs so our kids can play soccer.
Ed Kerkenbush	Coaches U8 and assists U10 boys- He takes a lot of time with the children and winning is not everything as long as they are having fun!
Julie Hines	Julie Hines -- Referee mother of twin daughters on our team. Volunteers her time as Referee.
John Salinas	They are teaching their kids and their parents so much more than soccer. These kids are learning a much higher lesson in that their coaches are teaching them to work as a team! Also nominated: Terrie Beck & Scott Schwahn
Jennifer Lizzarago	Jennifer gets my nomination not only for all the hard work and long hours she puts in (because I know all of the board members and many other people do as well) but she puts her heart and soul into the kids. She has a contagious positive attitude. She also makes herself very available to help a fellow volunteer or player whenever needed. She is a volunteer for all the right reasons. She is truly a one of a kind!
